Pink Floyd-The Wall Movie Representation

Picture
Pink Floyd-The wall is one of the most influential and overwhelming album and movie in all time. It tells the history of a man named "pink" (roger waters) who is caught in a lot of troubles like drugs. Every situation of his life; his father's death, his wife cheating on him, his career, drugs and more things are just bricks in a wall that is surrounding him. Each "brick" making the wall close around him and trap him, because that is how he feels, trapped. Then, after a while, Pink tries to recover himself and "tears down the wall" making him free again. The movie is very emotional and symbolic, it represents us in a way and how we let ourselves to be trapped inside a metaphorical "wall" and have to learn to overcome our problems and break free from "the wall". I love this movie is one of my favorite ones. I made this drawings in honor to it, the first one is the whole movie in a drawing with different scenes all together. The second one is called "hammer" is Pink floyds "religion" that is basically what fans follow alot and how they identify themselves. the third one has nothing to do with the wall, but is one of Pink Floyd's albums and concerts, probably the most popular one called "P.U.L.S.E"

There isn't much to reflect about this project but more on the movie. Roger waters is brilliant, he took a bunch of Pink Floyd's songs and made them a movie that is heart touching. The movie has no dialogue and is entirely based on Roger Waters life, with an exception o a scene where he referes to Syd Barret. I sometimes stop and think about "what the hell was in Roger Waters mind when he did this movie?" the movie is fantastical and spectacular, it keeps you amused and is very hard to understand if you dont have an open mind.

MLF's one month after sketch

My cousin Martin Lasso passed away 10 months ago, in the first month without him i draw him this. It contains a little passage in english, that I Wrote. His motorcycle number was #50, he always won competitions and was a very perseverant rider, never giving up and opportunity to ride his bike. I miss him.

Other #50 Sketch

Reflections on both of this drawings come from inside of me. I sometimes am in a melancholic mood and start drawing or writing for him hoping he will read them or see them. I guess it is a form of expressing how much i miss im and need him because he was like my father. Art is a marvelous way to express yourself.

This drawing i made during my free time contains Three hidden messages about war and how us humans can transform into monters and then as humans back again (down). Then how two separate individuals that seem alike can become enemies (bird and almost-bird). Also how people try to get more (down, above the humans transforming into monsters

I havent thought about this project too much because it was something that juts came out of me, but maybe it is a way of going against society. When the humans heads transform to monsters and then to humans back again i guess i was thinking in how war can change a man while he is on it, but he comes back home and it is all cool and dandy again. The birds seeing each other ready to start a fight are the two countries that once were alike and now are fighting for something both want. The creature emerging from the smoke are the tyrants and rats that take advantage of the war and steal from every weak person.
